European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to Host High Level Conference on Drones 2018

/26th November 2018, Drone Market Watch™/ On 27th – 28th of November 2018 the next High Level Conference on Drones will take place at RAI Amsterdam. This time the conference will be hosted by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and set during the launch of the first Amsterdam Drone Week bringing together regulatory bodies and industry experts from all around the world.

EASA invites all interested to explore and discuss some of the following topics related to the development of a common European market for drones:

1) The future drone market: How does it look like and how does it relate to the development of smart cities and smart mobility?
2) The state of play of U-Space: What have we done so far and what has still to be done?
3) The common European rules for drones operation: How do regulations help establishing a common European market?
4) The communication and safety promotion strategy: What is planned to raise awareness for the new European rules?

In addition to the conference programme meeting participants are invited to take part in a small competition with various educational institutes from The Netherlands. They can explore their latest developments related to drones (UAVs) and vote for the most interesting and promising project.
